This weekend marked Shana's first mothers day... Pretty exciting times over at the household even though mother's day brunch was kind of a bust... Eggs benny in a buffet setting = gross. Anyhoo, here are some pix we took this weekend.

Uncle G fulfilling his Unclor duties

Uncle G was in from Vancity for a few days to meet the lil Hughman... We took Hugh for his first of many visits to the local pub patio — no drinking yet but he was eyeing my Guinness like they were old friends.

better late than never

Hugh is here!!! After 2 visits to the hospital, loads of IV's, poking, prodding and 12 hours of fruitless effort trying to induce labour... Hugh Benjamin took his first breath of air at 1:19pm on April 25th. At 9lbs 14oz the doctors asked shana what she had been eating these last 10 months to produce a baby that looked as if he had been breast feeding for a month.

Here is the little geezer at 1 week old — So far it's been really amazing.
